Yes I know linux has firefox,apache,perl,python blah blah blah…
But when you want to do Video Editing or Professional Graphics Creation. You need Windows or Mac. because Adobe premiere and Photoshop both run on those platforms. Don’t tell me about GIMP. GIMP is not photoshop. If we are using open source operating system then it does not mean that we don’t want to purchase commercial software. Linux has many advantages over Windows like Security, Stability and Speed. At my multimedia institute we often face problems because of virus and instability of OS. But we have no choice to change OS because All the multimedia software like, MAYA,3Ds MAX,Photoshop, Illustrator,Dreamweaver etc run on Windows. If companies can incorporate popular software to Linux that run on windows/mac only. then it will give Linux a huge success.
