Login problem Win2K Novell Client

Windows login screen, as well as Netware login screen, no longer show on a work station that previously worked fine.
We attempted as administrator to uninstall, and reinstall the Novell Client software – but received message that we had no user rights to do so.
Any advice to remedy?
