Logon Control

by w8nmk . Updated 24 years, 8 months ago

We are using a Win2K server with a network having only Win2K clients (a school). It is an Active Directory system with each student having a logon.

The Library has 10 PC’s with a common LRC account logon. There are 60 or so other PC’s in the netwrok. All 10 PC’s use this LRC account to logon. The PC’s network ID’s are LRC1, LRC2, … , LRC10.

Recently students have begun to use the LRC logon from other PC’s on campus. We would like to restrict the LRC user account to be usable only from the library PC’s. But we don’t seem to be able to find a way to make the LRC user a member of the LRC computer’s group and only be accepted there. Do we have to create a separate subdomain for the library PC’s and the LRC user account to do this? Is there an easy way to accomplish what we want to do?

Thansk for any suggestions.
