LOGON SERVER IN WIN2K DOMAIN

we have just migrated from Netware to Win2K. All of the DCs are win2k, but we are running in mixed mode for now. There are 5 DCs in our Domain, but one is physically in another state (connected via T1). The problem is that I dont want users at my location to be authenticate by the one DC in another state. Well, only if no other DC are available ………… and visa versa. Is this possible?
