Looking for a good resource…

Does anyone know of any good reference books that outline the fundamentals of development processes, Web technologies, etc., but do so in a language and tone geared for someone on the business side with little-to-no background in software or Web technologies? I’m looking for a book or books that I can use as reference after a meeting has gone a little too heavy on the tech-babble.
