Looking for Recommendation on Backup Software – CA ArcServe

Hello,

We are looking for a Backup/Archive solution and have been looking at CA BrightStor ArcServe v12.0. We have tried the product and it appears to work for our application, but can’t seem to find a lot of collateral indicators out there that it is a good product, which makes us nervous. Furthermore, CA can’t seem to provide us with any customer success stories, or are unwilling to do so – another red flag, perhaps there are none?

Does anyone have information on how well this product works and more importantly, what are the gremlins and disaster stories from DB corruption etc. We are looking to use this in conjunction with a SpectraLogic T200 tape system.
