LPT Mapping

Hi All,
I’m seeking help on mapping lpt1 on user XP machine without giving the user local admin right.
With user logon, when I tried net use lpt1 \\server\port, the command returned system error5
but when I added the user to local admin group, itwas successful.
I examined the local policty and found nothing related to this. Is there a way to accomplish this without giving user the local admin right?
