Hey everyone,
I’ve been using macOS Ventura for a while now, and recently I’ve started noticing some weird memory usage patterns after waking my Mac from sleep. Activity Monitor shows unusually high memory pressure, even when I’ve got just Safari and Mail open.
Restarting seems to clear it up, but it comes back after a few hours of use — especially if the system’s been asleep for a bit. I’ve already tried disabling background apps and checking login items, but the issue still pops up.
Just curious if anyone else has seen this on Ventura (or Sonoma), and if there’s a known workaround other than restarting every so often. Could it be a memory leak from some system process, or just a cache buildup that macOS doesn’t clear properly?
Would love to hear what’s working for others — clean install, PRAM reset, or something else?
