Macromedia

I am unable to watch any type of streaming video on the internet. Each time it says I need to install the latest version of Adobe / Macromedia flash player. However, I have installed the software repeatedly, and still get the same message. The site says that it was successfully installed, but it does not show in my control panel programs, and the website still say that it is not installed. I have administrator priviledges on my computer, and every computer on the network. It is not a GPO or anything being kicked out because I wrote the GPOs, and every other computer can view the streaming videos. It just seems like mine has a problem. I am running Vista Business on an Hp Compaq 6820s.
