Make a software RAID on Solaris 9

I have a Solaris 9 server that I would like to create a software RAID 5 on. I had always thought that the tool to do this was Solstice DiskSuite. I have been reading about Solaris Volume Manager though. They seem like similar products. I am confused about which will allow me to make a RAID 5 out of my existing install.

Could someone please tell me some of the differences between these two products. Also, if someone knows of any How-to’s out there for whichever product that I need, I would appreciate it if you could let me know. Thanks.
