Mandrake 8.2-No Mouse

I’ll start by saying I’m a Linux newbie. The mouse in Mandrake 8.2 was working alright except for the fact the wheel wouldn’t work. While clicking around trying to get the wheel to work, I must have changed the configuration and now the mouse doesn’t work at all. I can get the the area to configure the mouse, where the keyboard, mouse and others are, but can’t choose the mouse option to fix the problem.

Any ideas as to what I can do?
