Masters in IT and then what?

I’ve worked for the past 3 years as a writer with key focus on the IT industry. For a person with little IT knowledge, i had to learn from ground up. Today, i can safely say that I’m rather quick to grasp technical concepts and I’m very much on the beat when it comes to technology, writing from business services right up to consumer issues.

i recently completed my Masters in IT business management.

While writing is still an important part of my life, i’m wondering if i can make the switch over to IT business consulting. And what would I need, in terms of technical skills, to make the switch.

Are my transferable skills i.e. communication enough? What do you think?
