MCSE Core courses… What’s Up!!!

I have recently heard that if I do not complete my core courses by Dec. 31, 2000, none of the tests I have completed will count for anything. Can anyone clarify this for me. I have a 3 more tests to cram in by Dec 31 if this is the case.
