MCSE WinNT Testing Extension

I just heard that Microsoft has extended the time allowed for taking the WinNT 4.0 MCSE certification exams to Febuary 28. This information was given to me from Prometric (on 12-14-00 at 12:40 cst) as I was registering for an exam. Has anyone else heard this? How can I verify this information?
