ME Client’s password rejected by Windows 2k domain controller .

Windows 2000 Domain.
2 Domain controllers.
windows 2000, ME, 98 Clients.
DNS, Wins configured.
Windows ME and 98 Clients can not log in, password rejected by domain controller. It will take some times more than 6 tries to log in.
No problem for 2000 clients.
Can someone help.
