ME logon

I have a computer running ME, connected to a Win 2K network. Whenever I turn the comp. on, it jumps directly to Windows, bypasssing the logon. I have rechecked the comp. Network configuration and everything is in order. I have reinstalled the Nic, the drives, you name it. The only way to log on to the network is to click on Start, log off and log on again. This is the only way to bring the login window on.
