Members believe Microsoft certification

I am a 49 year old man that has been in sales all of my working life. I have been paid on straight commission and override for most of those years.

Holding positions as high as Regional VP of Sales. I now want to get training in the IT field. I only have a H.S. GED.

My question is…am I wasting my time? I have earned as high as $106,000 per year and know my way around the office politics but am burned out as a Salesperson/Sales Manager. I want a career that has a future and am very interested in MCSE and getting cerified as a trainer. I have hired, trained and developed commision only salespeople for years. I enjoy training very much.
