Micorosft Office 97

I have a word file that was made by a user and she made it read only for all other users. When I or any one opens the file it works with out a problem. When a particular opens the file on her computer it will not open. If she opens it on another PC it opens fine. I have looked in Tech Net and also tried reloading office and still no cigar. Can anyone help?
