According to a recent article i read about the concerns of the new Microsoft Policy on the activation of its new platforms (Win XP and Office XP).There lies an interresting case which may cause some debate. When and if i decide to upgrade an existing (licensed) Windows XP / Office XP machine by perhaps changing the hard drive or upgrading memory and other hardware, I should still be able to re-install the OS without any hassle from Microsoft (If i needed to of course). However, in the eventuality that I decide to buy a brand new machine what will happen if I tries to install the version of Windows XP or Office XP i previously bought? Will I have to contact Microsoft or the local software vendor to be able to install the software again?
