Microsoft Fax will not work.

Every time I try to compose a fax I get the following messages:
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\AWSNT032.EXE
A device attached to the system is not functioning.
After clicking OK , I get:
Error Starting Program
The AWFXCG32.DLL file is linked to missing export MAPI32.DLL:23.
