Microsoft MCP certification

I am a former network administrator currently persuing my MCP. I am now preparing to take the 70-210 exam. Just wondering if being an MCP combined with my network administration experience will make my skills more marketable. I also know that there is a sharp decline in hiring within the IT industry.
