Microsoft Office 2000 Outlook problem

Just purchased a new laptop running xp. Loaded Office 2000. Setup outlook. Encounterig the following error upon opening outlook:
Error signature:
App Name: outlook.exe AppVer: 9.0.0.2416
ModName: omipstnt.dll ModVer: 5.5.2806.0
offset: 0000bd8a

This is in the error report to send to MS. Once sent the program closes. Tried repairing office with the office 2000 disks, reloading office, removing office with the control panel software removal tool and then reloading office. Upon opening outlook the same emails are there and same error. So, it does not remove the pst files. Can’t find the pst file on the disk to remove…

So, any help would be greatly appreciated.
