Migrate from Win2k Server to Linux/Samba

We’d like to migrate from Win2k server w/ Active Directory to RHEL w/ Samba. The only discussions I’ve been able to find are for NT4 migrations to Samba. We would like to preserve permissions and account info. Has anyone done this? Is there documentation out there that I am missing? Thanks for any help you can provide!
