migration exchange 2000

I am just finishing an online course on exchange 2000 and have set up the new AD and exchange 2000. I really need to find the best how to info on migrating from exchange 5.5 to exchange 2000 not using 3rd party tools, and if I have to what tools would anyone recommend. I would like to use the migration wizard but am not real familar with this tool and how good it works. If the resident guru’s out there could stear me in the right direction or the best how to book I would love ya.I understand that without 3rd party tools it is not good. Is this true? I am ready to test and move my mail box over. I also understand that it is not good to use the connection agreements.
