Mobile phone spam?

I just received a call from another Australian mobile phone number to my mobile when I answered all I could hear was a recording in Chinese .? When I called back on the exact number Ithe phone carrier has automated message saying this number has been disconnected!?? Anyone know how or what’s the go ??
