Monitor Probs In RH 9 pre install

When i try to install RH9 on my system during the pre installation process, it probes my monitor and identifies it, next the monitor goes into standby and i cant continue as i cant see anything :(. Any ideas….. its a GNR VL 997 (CM1997FS)Monitor.
