More than one IP address to nic card

Somewhere I read about binding more than 1 IP address to nic card. Is this true? We have WAN that must use static IP’s for tracking purposes. Mobile users are forced to change IP’s each time they visit another location or network segment. Can I put more than one address on a card, and if so how?
