Mounting Drives

Ok…I can’t mount my floppy, or cd-rom drives!!! However, I have been able to successfully mount another hd which has my old downloads from windows. To mount the cd-rom and floppy, i am doing the following:

mount /dev/cdrom /mnt/cdrom
mount /dev/fd0 /mnt/floppy

when i try this, i get the error message that they are not valid block devices. I have tried this as a su, and regular user, but it gives me the same errors!!!

Please Help..i need these drives badly.
