Moving NT Home Directories

Our old Home server is getting a bit long in the tooth as it were. We are looking at moving all the home directories \\server\home\%username% to a new server. Does anyone have any ideas on how to do this?

I’ve thought about backing up all thecurrent home directories to a tape, creating the new share, changing the home directory in the user profiles, then restoring the tape to the new server. Is this the best way or is there a better way? Thank you.
