MS exchange and external email

I have a network with a domain of coname.com. Users can send/receive internal email and send to external internet email addresses except when they try to send email to an email service we use that created the domain coname.com. When they try to sendto those it seems that Exchange tries to find that user internally and fails. How can I direct those emails to the internet site.
