MS Exchangeserver 4.0 IMS- Crashes

The Internet Mail Service crashes regularly. It can be revived only on clearing the queue.dat and removing the mails from the ‘IN’ folder.
I notice that this happens only when i receive mail from a particular id. The mail is however readable from a notepad. What could be the configurational issues that cause this and how do i over come this.
