MS Messenger Service Auditing

It has come to my departmrnts attention that there has been some abuse of the MSN messenger service throughout my company. I need away to monitor this software to see usage times and content. While some sales teams use it to communicate between remote offices, others are just abusing it and talking to friends and family instead of working. I have been asked to monitor this, is this possible?
