Msgsrv32

I am running Windows 98 (1st ed.). I have had continuous problems with my computer being very slow and even locking up (very often). When I try to shut down, it will not shut down properly. If I do a ctrl + Alt + del, it always shows msgsrv32 running. Even if I “end task”, I usually have to turn my computer off with the power switch. Any suggestions on how to remedy this problem? Thanks for your help.
