MSSQL server 2000

Hi there!
Ive got a problem.My 2000 server keeps on displaying this annoying message ‘Your SQL server is either corrupt or has been tampered with(unknown id). Rerun setup.’ Ive tried to rerun by it take too long tovaildate the password..what should do.need help!
