Multiple Network connection problems

I have a small network of pc’s at home using Win 2K and Win XP which works fine. However, when I take my notebook to school to use its internet connection and return home, I can never reconnect to any of my network neighborhood copmuters or printers. The internet works fine and I can ping ip addresses but nothing I’ve tried has restored my ability to connect by computer name. Ipconfig release renew didn’t work and I’ve tested this on two notebooks with the same failed results. The network at school is Novell if this is any help. Thanks, T Gulley
