my career – where to from here….

I have been in a computer and desktop support position for about six years. In my current position there is no room for growth or advancement and I am starting to loose interest in this field, which I always loved. I would love to get into a role where I can learn about computer security or virtualization.

I am not sure where to start so that I can lead my career in one of these directions. If you have any advice I would love to hear from you.
