My journey in the world of IT so far(lengthy)

Im new to the forum discussions here and thought I might help some people who are in my situation have a little more encouragment . I hold an Associates in Network Administration. I have no certifications and have held 2 jobs in the IT field and am starting a new one in 3 days due to relocation. I have close to a years experience as a tech basically on call on site type stuff. I worked at my Community Collage as a lab technician (3 months @$5.15 hr) (basic maintance) and worked 6 months @ $10.00 hr in the Public Schools as a contracted Tech, lots of fun there, learned alot by handson with almost every aspect of technology imaginable for a tech I, also learned how to appreciate good imaging software (altiris) and worked with a very great LAN admin. I was asked by the IT director to interview for for a promotion/non contract position and I did. But was not chossen to fill the position. This was their loss, not mine. I can deal with 8th graders throwing $hit at me while working in a classroom and still be polite to the client(teacher). Well i just moved to Hilton Head Island SC and am starting at a billion dollar realestate/resort company as a Tech I @ $12.00 hr, The IT manager is very nice, I get free golf, benifits as much overtime as i want, paid certifications and raises per each cert that i obtain. But most importantly I can get some experience so I can get a little more specific in what area of my career i want to go towards. Oh yea I dont even play golf but im gonna learn I even get to help set equipment up for the heritage golf tournament(big thing i hear). The reason Im telling you guys all this crap is so you dont give up hope if your like me cause after 50 or so resumes sent out and maybe 5 interviews i landed 3 jobs all in all. I dont interview well but have a strong resume, letters of recomendation and am a hard worker. I know im not making 80k a year but i dropped outa highschool and made it this far at 23. So there is hope no matter how hard it might seem to be sometimes for all us entry level techies. And for all you tech haters we are the frontline without us you guys cant stay on your server consoles and in your cubicles.
