I come home from work today after a frantic phone call from my 13 year old. He was playing around in my laptop at home and now we cant get into it. Here’s what he has done.
My Computer…Right Click…Properties…Network Name…Set Network ID…..home location…RestartPC
Since ‘Einstein’ did this we have been unable to login. The computer starts, goes to the Windows XP login screen but the options button wont come up with any log in options ie I cant change the Domain. I try to login with our usual user name and password but it says its wrong. I type in Administrator and leave it blank, it wont login.(I never set an Admin Password). Is there any way in safe mode I can by[ass the log in to go to System restore? I tried all the safe modes but no luck. Safe mode with command prompt eventually just takes me to the same log in page.
Need help as this laptop is our home PC at the mometn as we are in teh middle of a move and all our possessions are in storage including all my PC discs!
