my video card software won’t instal on my pc!

hi, i recently bought a new video card, ati radeon hd 4870 1024mb so i could play my ETQW game.
so i bought the card and a 650W antec earthwatts.
i de-installed al the previous video components like it was asked in the manual and putt in the new card, and when i try to install the software from the cd, it doesn’t even start to load, the 2 progress bars just aren’t filling.
could someone tell me what i’ve done wrong or what i should do?
