MYSQL question

I recently had issues with a web forum. After some serious hosting issues I got away with a copy of my sql database, but not an actual backup.

My question is, is there any way I can get to that data? I’m not strong in Unix, and run windows XP. Are there any applications I can use to access it long enough to get a backup?

Any thoughts, ideas, and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
