need something to play M4B files

I’ve not needed to do this before. The book page said to download iTunes since it’s free and will play M4B files.

The Windows Media Player on my new computer won’t play them. My old computer had WinAmp on it….

I want to avoid bloat ware and have no idea what I’m getting.

I don’t use an ipod or any such device; view the occasional youtube but not a fan of online video/movies. Mostly lectures and teaching and music from my cd collection.

The other recommendation I’ve had was formatFactory. Never used/heard it but then again, new to the genre.
