Netscape Specific ACL Error

There is a bewildering problem occuring with Netscape which is sometimes Netscape all by its own starts to exhibit erratic behavious. The Specific error is when a local site is browsed on the local network an authentication dialoug appears which does not accept anything and upon calcellation displays “error due to ACL on resource”. Also the proxy tab in netscape’s prefrences does not accept any proxy.
