Network Block

I have just upgraded our Win2000 Server to XP Pro and have upgraded another computer on the network to the same.
I can access it and others on the network but cannot access the server from the other computers. They keep requesting a password which was setup by the previous sys admin who is no longer here.
The system carries a KUDOS POS system which needs two way communication to perform. Can anyone assist with a work around .
