Network Printing Issue

Hello,
Recently I have been having a problem with a network printer (HP Laserjet 5) processing jobs. The printer is using a Jet Direct card and the driver is located on a WIN2K Server box. XP Pro Workstation. I have uninstalled and reloaded the driver.

The issue I am having is that it takes a simple Word document about 35 seconds before it completes spooling and begins to print. During this time, the application (Word in this case) will lock up and prevent you from continuing to work until it has completed spooling. This occurs on all workstations. This is the only network printer I have.
