Network Redesign

I currently have a network with a PDC running NT 4.0 and our BDC NT 4.0 is the accounting server. I recently found out that our accounting package will run faster if it is a Windows 2000 server as well as being the PDC.

I am now in a quandry about the best way to make this migration happen in a smooth fashion. Also I have never Administered a windows 2000 domain. Any hints or pitfalls I need to avoid would be appriciated.
