networking XP & ME computers

I have a desktop computer operating with Millenium ME and a laptop on XPHome all in the same workgroup. ME computer can access XP laptop but XP laptop cannot access ME computer. Both computers are set for sharing. Anyone else having a similar problem? Any suggestions?
