New to Win2k IIS Server

by big b . Updated 24 years, 6 months ago

I’m very green to Win2k servers. Even more green to IIS. I have successfully setup a win2k server with IIS. I’ve put my companies intranet on it and it can be view by all of our offices. When I try and publish to it from FrontPage 2000, it won’t accept my password. I use the same name and password as a user on the server that is part of the administrators group. Administrators is included as an operator of the web site. What am I doing wrong? Also, I know nothing about security for this server and would like to find more info on security, authentication, ect… Can anyone point to some good information? I’m doing searches on Microsoft’s site and Techrepublic’s site but I’m overwhelmed by the results that are returned. I don’t know which info is good or not.

Thanks for any and all help!
