newbie help, mac manager

I am a science teacher asked to be the techi in a bush alaska school district. I am trying to use mac manager on OS 8.6, OS 9, & a few DELLs. I am installing Accelerated Reader and the Star program. Anyone give me some steps? I also coach 2 sports, teach 2 classes, am the activites director & assistant principal. We have @100 computers in our k-12 school.
