newbie here: set up Home email server

Hi,

I have 2 computers at home connected to the cable internet through the linksys gateway/router.

I have purchased a domain name and now would like to have my own linux based email server on one of the machines at home for testing purposes. I would like both imap and/or web based email checking facility i.e I should be able to use any imap clients or a browser to check my emails.

I have read about postfix,qmail,courier,cyrus servers. Can somebody tell me where to start with? Since this server will only handle less than 8 email accounts, which mail server would you suggest? Where do I update the MX records?
