I need to identify a program or collection of programs to perform the following tasks. I don’t need the details on implementing just yet and I’ll try to figure all of that out for myself, but I need to know where to start.
1) download news articles from various newsgroups and/or review news articles at the newsgroup server live
2) allow users to review the articles on their PCs via a web browser
The server that I need to download these articles to and server them from will be Solaris 8. I would prefer incorporating Apache to make the articles available to the users via web browser. I have found many news reader programs (trn, slm, pine, inn) but I can’t seem to get detailed information on whether or not I will be able to use these with a web browser except for trn and inn, which seem to be screen oriented only and have no browser capability.
If you know of a good tool (free or cost) please provide the tool and where I can go to get more information and to download/purchase this tool.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
